Aviva Canada will make a donation of one million dollars ($M) to finance community projects across the country, and for the tenth year, through the Aviva community Fund.

Until the 24th of August, the Fund harvest proposals for events under the theme #MieuxEnsemble. There will be 100 prizes of $ 1,000 to win to hold an activity that brings together the community. The Fund will also provide $ 900,000 in funding for 60 projects under the same theme in the context of a competition, which will be launched on the 28th of August next.

Since its creation in 2009, the Aviva community Fund has donated more than $ 8.5 million to more than 280 community groups and charitable organizations in Canada.

Instill a sense of belonging

“Find ways to bring people together and instil a sense of belonging to their community is not a good thing to do, it’s indispensable. We know that by uniting people, we contribute to stronger communities and healthier, ” says Colm Holmes, president and chief executive officer of Aviva Canada.

To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the competition Fund, Aviva Canada aims to provide financial support to charities and community groups who joined forces under the impetus of interest, a culture, or causes in common.
