Fines of $ 92,000 to have solicited investments without being registered

Steven Martel has received fines of $ 92,000 to be sought and made investments without being registered with theAutorité des marchés financiers. The regulator has filed a lawsuit against Mr. Martel last may.

From three investors, he sought and made investments in the limited partnership ontario Canadian Phoenix Project Limited Partnership, formed to fund and manage projects of residential buildings in the United States. These failures violate the securities Act.

The judge Annie-Claude Chassé to the Quebec Court had already declared Mr. Martel guilty of three counts of unlawful exercise of the activity of broker and three counts of investment without a prospectus.
