Since 1950, it has only happened on two occasions, fires cause economic losses of more than $ 10 billion dollars (G$) in California by 2017 and in 2018.

According to the most recent report from Aon on this disaster, insurers may have to pay a good part of the$ 10 billion of damage caused by the fires that have ravaged California in November. This amount could go up having regard to the uncertainty : the cost of under-insurance. Aon said that the wrong calculations of the costs of reconstruction could have an impact on the bill of the insurers.

Camp Fire : the most destructive

Even if it is not yet acquired, that the fires that have ravaged California this year will cost more expensive to cover than those that occurred last year, one thing is certain. The Camp Fire, which has destroyed most of the town of Paradise, is the one who has destroyed the most homes, three times more than its predecessor Tubbs had done last year, and that was to this day the fire that had destroyed the most.
