Hub International, an american firm with international reach, has acquired the activities of social benefits to Rise People. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The company, whose headquarters are located in Vancouver, specializes in human resources management. Hub says it will work with Rise to offer their services, time management, payroll and group benefits to their canadian customers benefits.

“After a thorough review of a number of opportunities, Rise has chosen the Hub to gain its business benefits in order to provide its clients with advice in matters of health and retirement savings plans. Rise accelerates the development of its platform, which is fully integrated to simplify administration and to strengthen the commitment of the employees, ” said Hub by means of a press release.

Continuation of the strategy benefits

Hub says this acquisition is part of its strategy to fill the “vacuum” left in the sector of group insurance and employee benefits for companies of average size in Canada. The firm aims to reach $ 100 million ($M) in income and commissions in the segment by 2021.

Last October, Sun Life Financial had invested an amount of 15 million M$ in Rise People to use its platform for management of human resources.
