iA launches a competition to philanthropy to organizations focused on mental health

iA financial Group has launched the second edition of his contest of philanthropy. Charities who work with people living with mental health problems will be invited to answer the question ” What could you do with a gift of $ 125,000? “

In an announcement, the company said that approximately $ 300,000 will be paid to the ten organizations with the submissions the most inspiring.

The first edition of the contest has been organized in the framework of the 125th anniversary of the financial Group last year. Due to the positive response, the company has decided to make it an annual contest. Each year, the competition will have a particular theme, this year’s theme being mental health.

“The large number of charities that have submitted projects in the past year has affected much. We are very happy to once again have our contest philanthropy this year and in the years to come. We want to present and promote canadian charities, as we are “, says Denis Ricard, chairman and chief executive officer of iA Group financial.

The public will be invited to vote

At the end of the submission period, iA will select ten submissions, which will be presented to the public on 1 November. The public will be invited to vote for the two proposals the most inspiring. A gift of $ 125,000 will be paid to the charity that received the most votes, a donation of $ 50,000 will be donated to charities which rank second and third, and a donation of $ 10,000 will be paid to the seven remaining finalists. The results of the competition will be announced on December 11.
