Intact launched its proof of insurance electronic

Intact Financial Corporation is launching a proof of insurance electronic in order to enable its customers to report it to the place of the traditional ” paper roses “.

It is available on the mobile applications ofIntact Insurance and belairdirect. The parent company maintains a tutorial explaining how to download your proof of insurance electronically is also available on the two applications.

“Intact and belairdirect were the need to respond to the changing needs of customers in a world that is increasingly digital. We know that their time is valuable and our proof of insurance digital is a convenient and safe for them to be easily and quickly their insurance information, when and where they need it, ” explains Danny DaCosta, first vice-president, Ontario.

Ontario joins three other provinces

This launch comes after the announcement by theAuthority of ontario regulation of financial services (ARSF), which has approved the use of such evidence in electronic form in the province.

Ontario thus became the fourth canadian province to accept the use of the proof of insurance electronic. Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador and Alberta had preceded it. A representative of Intact told the Journal of insurance that the electronic evidence is also accepted in Quebec for some time.

The insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) has also welcomed the decision of the Ontario. “The automobile insurers of Ontario welcome the government’s decision to allow electronic proof of auto insurance for ontario drivers. To be able to provide digital documents to consumers is an expectation of the service that we are delighted we can now provide. This marks another step : make insurance easier and more accessible for the people of ontario. We look forward to working with the government to offer more choice and innovation on the market, ” says Kim Donaldson, vice-president, Ontario, for the IBC.
