On October 3, stakeholders are invited to an information session organized by theAuthority of the financial markets. The regulator will present the highlights relating to two consultations regulatory Authorities canadian securities administrators (CSA).
The question of the abolition of the commissions built in for the brokers (who do not perform assessment of suitability) will be addressed. The information session will also focus on the proposed reforms focused on the customer, the aim being that the registered persons promote the interests of customers.
Two round tables announced
The Authority has also announced that the round tables will be organized. The first will focus on the transition to the abandonment of the trailing commissions paid to these brokers. The second will focus on the transition to the abandonment of options deferred sales charge (DSC).
