The Entreprise en santé standard will be revised to become a national standard

A consultation will begin in the fall to revise the standard Company health, ten years after its launch. The Group companies in health, which has launched this standard, chapeautera the consultation. Two sessions are planned, one in Quebec city on 5 September and the other in Montreal on the 11th of September.

The Bureau de normalisation du Québec (BNQ), which awards the certification to companies that wish to obtain this standard, intends to build on this work to recognize the Entreprise en santé standard by the standards Council of canada. It would thus become a national Standard of Canada and broadens its reputation among all canadian employers.

The two agencies aim to ensure that the standard Company health, to be available nationally by 2020, according to the document presenting the draft review and the Journal of insurance has received a copy.

Benefits for the retention of the workforce

If the project succeeds, the two groups estimate that the standard ” will benefit all quebec and canadian companies of a competitive advantage, represents the application of the Entreprise en santé standard for the retention and attraction of skilled labour “. They also see it as a benefit ” for the improvement of the health of workers and the performance of companies here, in Canada and elsewhere in the world.”

The standard Company health deals with the maintenance and sustainable improvement of the overall health (physical and psychological) in the workplace. To do this, it offers employers an approach and a method that create the favourable conditions necessary for the achievement of this objective.

It is accompanied with a certification program developed by the Bureau de normalisation du Québec (BNQ). This certification allows the company or organization communicate its compliance through the use of the certification mark Company health.
