L’Institut d’assurance de dommages du Québec has appointed Michel Lacelle as general manager. He succeeds Julie Saucier, who left his position at the beginning of the month of June to lead theprofessional Association of real estate brokers in Quebec (APCIQ), a body that plays the role of a union in the real estate brokerage.
Mr. Lacelle was until recently the position of vice-president, corporate services, in eastern Canada for the company’s SCM IndemniPro for almost 2 years.
“The board of directors is very proud to be able to count on a person of the calibre of Michel Lacelle to take care of the management of the Institute,” says François Jean, chairman of the board of directors.
The new director-general holds a diploma of chartered insurance professional (CIP), and has extensive experience as a manager, trainer and mentor in the property and casualty insurance. It has among other things been general director of the insurance adjuster claims pro/IndemniPro Inc. for more than 10 years.
Mr. Lacelle will take office on October 7.
