Tornadoes and snow storms : the United States has experienced another week of disasters, according to a new report by Aon in its weekly report of damage.
More well-known, the country has had its tornado-the most devastating since 2013 on 3 and 4 march in Alabama. At least 23 people have died in the disaster, out of which the winds have reached 280 kilometers an hour. Several communities in the States of Georgia, Florida and South Carolina were also affected by a dozen more small tornadoes.
The tornado was part of a broader storm system that has led to heavy rains across parts of the Mid-Atlantic and northeast.
The damage to the tornado amounted in the hundreds of millions, evaluates Aon.
Winter hits the North-East
The national capital and the city of Boston, Massachusetts, experienced a snow storm as ‘major’ on 3 and 4 march. On average, 15 to 25 centimetres of snow fell, with some regions receiving the same up to 38 centimetres.
Since the beginning of the year, the damage related to the weather have exceeded the bar of one billion u.s. dollars. Several States have even had to declare a state of emergency last month due to heavy precipitation of snow, rain and ice.
